Personal Prevention - Brushing

Rinse the toothbrush with warm water to soften the bristles, and place a pea-sized amount of toothpaste on the bristles. A peas-sized amount of toothpaste
Place the brush bristles at a 45 degree angle toward the gum line and massage gently back and forth to remove the plaque from every tooth.
Plaque tends to collect on the roots of teeth along the gum line. Therefore, it is important to angle the toothbrush so that the bristles massage the gums.

Move around the mouth in sequence, being careful that the toothbrush bristles contact all of the teeth and gums. Place the toothbrush at a 45 degree angle toward the gums
Tilt the toothbrush in a vertical position on the inner surfaces of the upper and lower front teeth. Vibrate the bristles back and forth or in small circles to remove the plaque. Tilt the toothbrush in a vertical position.
Brush the chewing surfaces of the teeth.

Finally, rinse the mouth with water to remove toothpaste and food debris.
